🌟 ¿Qué es el presente simple?

El presente simple se usa para hablar de hábitos, rutinas, hechos generales, gustos y situaciones que ocurren con frecuencia.

Usamos el presente simple para hablar de cosas que hacemos normalmente, no necesariamente en este momento.
RutinasI work every day. - Trabajo todos los días.
HábitosShe drinks coffee. - Ella bebe café.
Hechos generalesThe sun rises in the east. - El sol sale por el este.

📌 Estructura afirmativa

Con I, you, we y they, usamos el verbo en su forma básica.

Sujeto + verbo + complemento
  • I study English. - Yo estudio inglés.
  • You work at home. - Tú trabajas en casa.
  • We live in the city. - Nosotros vivimos en la ciudad.
  • They play soccer. - Ellos juegan fútbol.

👤 La tercera persona: He, She e It

Con he, she e it, generalmente agregamos -s al verbo.

He / She / It + verbo con -s + complemento
  • He works at a bank. - Él trabaja en un banco.
  • She reads every night. - Ella lee todas las noches.
  • It rains a lot here. - Llueve mucho aquí.
  • Maria speaks English. - María habla inglés.
Los nombres singulares también siguen la regla de tercera persona: John works, Anna studies, the dog sleeps.

🔤 Reglas para agregar -S, -ES o -IES

Regla Verbo Tercera persona Ejemplo
La mayoría de los verbos work works She works here.
Terminan en -ch, -sh, -ss, -x, -o watch watches He watches TV.
Consonante + y study studies She studies English.
Vocal + y play plays He plays soccer.
Forma irregular have has She has a car.

  • She always arrives on time. - Ella siempre llega a tiempo.

  • ❌ He work every day. → ✅ He works every day.
  • ❌ She study English. → ✅ She studies English.
  • ❌ They plays soccer. → ✅ They play soccer.
  • ❌ I works at home. → ✅ I work at home.
  • ❌ He have a car. → ✅ He has a car.
  • ❌ Maria go to school. → ✅ Maria goes to school.
